Turbo Protection all the way!

At engine shutdown, the TURBOPROTECT check valve automatically closes, redirecting pressurized oil to the turbocharger. This critical process carries away residual heat while providing essential lubrication until the rotating assembly fully comes to rest. This lubrication, lasting 2-3 minutes, ensures effective cooling of the turbocharger.

By delivering pressurized oil directly into the bearing housing, TURBOPROTECT keeps the bearings precisely centered with a protective oil cushion, safeguarding the turbo from potential damage.

During cold start-ups, the turbocharger benefits immediately, as oil is pre-positioned in the feed line, ready for instant delivery from the TURBOPROTECT system. This ensures seamless protection and optimal performance from the very start.

At the moment of engine shutdown, the TURBOPROTECT check valve closes, directing oil under pressure, to the turbocharger, carrying away built up heat and providing lubrication until the rotating assembly comes to rest. This lubrication continues for 2-3 minutes which further cools the turbo.

With oil being directed under pressure into the bearing housing, the bearings remain centered with the required cushion of oil, thus preventing turbo damage.

At cold start-up, the turbo gets oil immediately because the oil is already in the feed line from the TURBOPROTECT.
