remanufacturing process
At Turboformance, we specialize in OEM-spec turbocharger remanufacturing, restoring used or damaged turbos to as-new condition. Backed by one of the most advanced balancing and calibration setups in the region, we’re fully equipped to handle every stage of the process — from precision disassembly to factory-spec testing and final certification. Every remanufactured turbo is restored to meet or exceed original manufacturer standards for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
1. Turbo Arrival & Initial Assessment
2. Disassembly
The turbo is carefully disassembled into all its individual components. This allows us to inspect each part and separate components for cleaning or replacement.
3. Cleaning & Surface Restoration
Sand Blasting: Removes carbon buildup, rust, and old coatings from housings.
Acid Bath: High-carbon or heavily contaminated components are treated to restore surface integrity.
Casing Respray: Once cleaned, the housings are resprayed for corrosion protection and a like-new finish.

4. Detailed Inspection & Assessment
Each component is microscopically inspected for cracks, wear, and damage. Actuators and valves undergo functionality testing.
5. Actuator Testing
Electronic or vacuum actuators are tested and recalibrated to ensure precise boost control and quality.

6. Core Replacement or Rebalancing
The turbo’s CHRA (core) is either replaced with a new OEM-spec unit or precision-balanced using advanced equipment to factory tolerances.
7. Reassembly
Once all components are cleaned, tested, and approved, the turbo is reassembled following strict torque and alignment specifications.
8. Dynamic Balancing & Flow calibration
After assembly, the complete turbo is rebalanced and flow-tested to factory standards to ensure correct boost pressure and airflow.
9. Calibration & Final Inspection
Each turbo is calibrated and subjected to a final inspection. Oil flow is checked, actuator function is verified, and performance data is logged.

10. Finishing & Packaging
Finally, the turbo is oiled, stamped, and sealed — ready for dispatch or installation. Every unit leaves our facility with a performance certificate and warranty.
